Property Calculator

The purpose of the property calculator is to calculate thermophysical properties of a defined fluid at a given temperature and pressure, and to assess the possibility of solids or hydrates forming.

Pressing Calculate fills the thermodynamic-properties table and the solid-formation-risk table. The property table shows values for the available phases and the overall mixture. The solid-formation-risk table reports whether ice, dry ice, hydrates, or other solid phases are expected under the selected conditions.

To choose a fluid, use the Fluid selector at the top of the form. You can:

• Select a fluid from the Fluid Library
• Create a new fluid
• Edit the currently selected fluid

Choose which properties appear with the Rows menu, and choose which phases appear with the Columns menu. After the table has been configured as desired, export it as CSV with the download button above the table.

Please note that the properties shown depend on which equation of state that has been chosen. The most accurate property calculations are achieved by choosing the most updated multiparameter equation of state.
