Checkpoints

Checkpoints let you save a snapshot of a process so you can later restore the process back to that exact state.

When to use checkpoints

• Before making major changes to a flowsheet
• Before trying alternative specifications, equipment choices, or solver settings
• When collaborating, to share a known-good baseline with your team

Save a checkpoint

1. Open an existing process (checkpoints are available only for saved processes).
2. Click Save checkpoint (save icon) in the top-right toolbar.
3. Provide a Checkpoint name and (optionally) a Description.
4. (Optional) Select an existing checkpoint to overwrite.

Load (restore) a checkpoint

1. Click Load checkpoint (clock icon).
2. Select a checkpoint from the list.
3. Click Restore Checkpoint.

Restoring a checkpoint replaces your current process data with the saved snapshot. If you have unsaved changes, consider saving a new checkpoint first.

Delete a checkpoint

In the Load checkpoint dialog, use the trash icon next to a checkpoint to delete it.

Notes and limitations

• You must have edit access to save/restore checkpoints.
