Validation

Our trademark is to make the calculations you perform in our software as accurate as possible. This includes:

  • Carefully reviewing and selecting thermochemical and heat capacity data for each component.
  • Regressing model parameters against high-quality experimental data.
  • Incorporating advanced thermophysical models suited to different applications.

In this section, we will compare calculations from the ThermoPhys software with experimental data. The figures and tables show how the models perform for the systems and conditions tested, and we will also comment on where the agreement is good as well as the limitations.

Areas covered

The validation work is organised by field. Each area starts as a section here and gets its own page once there is enough material for one.

  • Thermodynamics & Phase Equilibria
  • Transport Properties
  • Surface Tension
  • Safety & Flow Assurance
  • Process & Equipment Validation

Individual validation cases are linkable, so a case can be referenced directly from a report or an email.
