Heat exchanger
Exchange heat between two or more process streams.
Inputs
Number of Streams: Total number of streams participating in the exchanger. There are 3 streams in the shown picture.Pressure Drop: Optional pressure loss applied to each stream.Outlet Temperature: Specify all but one outlet temperature to tell the solver your targets. The outlet temperature corresponds to the end of the squiggly arrow in each stream layer. You can flip input and output for each layer by clicking on it.
Outputs
- Outlet streams for the remaining layer will be adjusted to satisfy the heat balance. In the Profiles tab of the heat exchanger you will find temperature profiles for the composite hot and cold curves.
