Pump

Raise the pressure of a liquid stream.

Inputs

  • Efficiency (%): Hydraulic efficiency in percent (must be between 0 and 100).
  • Outlet Pressure: Pressure of the outlet stream. Must be higher than inlet stream.

Outputs

  • Work output: Pumps consume power, so this value is negative. It equals the reversible work divided by the efficiency.

Warnings

  • Vapour in pump: If a vapour-phase or two-phase state is detected.
  • Wrong sign: If the specified outlet pressure of the pump is lower than the computed inlet pressure.
